"... After having four children in about seven years, I decided it was time to start taking care of myself and have my hemorrhoids treated. This problem appeared after having my second son, and it really got worse over a few months. I tried many non-prescription medications, but they would work only for a short time.
My family doctor recommended a well known surgeon in our area, but he wanted to do surgery at a hospital --he would also remove a very large vein from my right leg.

Two days later, the same doctor examined me and told me about several treatment options, their cost, medications, and more. "... My husband had suffered from hemorrhoids for about four years, which seemed to get worse after working out at a gym. He had tried many local medications, but they all offered temporary relief. He did not want to see a doctor for this problem even when it really started to bother him, causing soreness, swelling and some bleeding. "... I was treated for enlarged leg veins at the McLean Medical Institute about three years ago. I found their web site on the Internet and asked my mother, who lives in Northern Virginia, to make the initial appointment for me. The doctors accommodated me for all the treatments to be done in a few days, because I was coming from out of town.
The results of the treatments were great! I had to avoid heavy lifting for a few days, but otherwise, I resumed my daily work routine and about a week later, my workouts.
At the time of my visits to the McLean Institute I learned that the doctors also treated hemorrhoids and thought that I would never had that type of problem... However, it turned out that I was wrong: about a year after my leg veins treatments I started feeling itchiness, soreness and in a short while, bleeding appeared, which got worse over time... of course, I had hemorrhoids. Thought that, in general, they would show up at an older age, but I was forty-six at the time the symptoms started.
From talking to a doctor friend, I knew that I would have to get surgery at some point, but when I called the McLean Institute, I was told that only a few hemorrhoids require an operation and that there are several other treatment options.
I came back to the McLean Institute, hemorrhoids treatments this time, and after two treatments over ten days, they were gone! It was really surprising for me: there was no pain and no complicated procedures. Each treatment lasted about fifteen minutes!... Doctors recommended that I should have more fiber and eat more salads and fruits in order to keep them from coming back, and this was all it took for the problem to go away..."
